Case Study | Victorian Terrace House

Featured in Homes & Gardens, October 2015

This large and luxurious space is the fabulous family bathroom of Heidrun Bjornsdottir’s Victorian London home. Heidrun also designed the room, down to the finest detail.

Looking to design a space where she could relax and unwind but also bathe her three young children, Heidrun has created an oceanic haven of space and light, accentuated by the blue, white and grey colour scheme and mirrored features.

The statement tiles were sourced bespoke from the USA (Rustico Tile and Stone) and reflect perfectly in the polished Spey bath, elegantly poised with a free standing Plunger Overflow & Waste. The grey-blue of the tiles is also referenced in the grey-blue veining in the Atlantic Grey Marble of the Double Crake Vanity Basin.

The angular lines of the subway tiles contrast dramatically with the elegant curves of the Dalby shower with its high arching curved pipe, creating a dramatically different shower space, detached and yet still a main part of the bathroom space.
